ContractType: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary : £25,896
Hours /Shift: Start times Evening and Nights
ContractedHours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

What does this job involve?

  • Responsibility for collection and delivery of general merchandise goods for Marks & Spencer using a commercial motor vehicle meeting company, customer and legislative requirements.
  • To ensure all work is completed accurately, efficiently as set out in the company polices, processes and procedures.
  • Comply with appropriate Road transport directive and Tachograph laws
  • Complying with local legislative requirements & company policies and procedures
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • To follow the company procedures for health and safety, security and accident prevention at all times
  • Operating IT-systems as required
  • Working within a physically demanding environment
  • To ensure the vehicle is in a roadworthy condition by completing daily checks prior to starting any journey
  • Representing DHL in a professional manner to customers
  • To work according to the Safe Systems Of Work (SSOW) at all times and follow manual handling instructions
  • To carry out any other activities as required by the management team

We are looking for Drivers who:

  • Hold a valid Driving License Valid C+E licence
  • Hold a Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Valid Driver's Licence (Maximum 6 points, No drink driving convictions)
  • Previous experience of driving LGV vehicles
  • Knowledge of geographical area is desirable
  • Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
  • Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions
  • Ability to move product which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and/or lifting, in line with Health & Safety regulations
  • Good numerical and literacy skills
  • Ability and Flexibility to work shifts
  • Ability to work as part of a team
